As the Director of AF Development Care, Sachi works alongside 25+ staff/ consultants/advisors to guide their pan-Asia operations and partnerships with different country governments and government agencies. Sachi works closely with policymakers, civil society partners, and research institutions to promote collaborations to increase the use of evidence in policymaking and scale-ups of successful social programs in India and the South Asian region. As a passionate advocate for the use of evidence and data in decision-making, Sachi advises multilaterals and donors on effective spending on policy interventions that have the potential to bring transformational change in the lives of people living in poverty.
He has over 19 years of experience in research, monitoring, evaluation, survey, capacity building program in health, gender, informal labour and livelihood projects in 16 countries with; World Bank (Evaluation of Health System Development project), UNFPA (Implementation of Health Management Information System (HMIS) project, Child Fund(partner monitoring and implementation of child-led projects), Global Fund/The International Union Against Tuberculosis and lung Diseases (The Union) (Tuberculosis Project), World Federation of haemophilia (WFH), Montreal, Canada (Regional Asia lead for project implementation). Mr. Satapathy has published 6 research journal papers,4 books and 50 op-ed in lead English newspapers. He is the receipiant of Infosys Young Achiever Award for his contributory work in the field of international development.
