Youb Raj Basnet is currently working as Employment Expert, Prime Minister Employment Programme, Nepal. He is an experienced development professional with 26 years of experience in managing programmes and policy building on poverty reduction and sustainable economic growth, including public employment and safeguarding food and income security for vulnerable and excluded communities. He has developed over 80 government policies, frameworks, and operational documents. He has undertaken several reviews and research on a range of issues on governance, social and economic development, impact assessment and public works programmes. Mr Basnet has a postgraduate degree in Management from Middlesex University London and currently undertaking grounded theory-based exploratory research on SMEs' Peacebuilding Role in Post-conflict Scenarios.
