Soma is a Development Economist and an aspiring writer knowing the field of development economics and serves as a reviewer for a peer-reviewed journal of international reputation. She completed her Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh in 2022. The title of her Ph.D. thesis is “Impact of Globalization on Women’s Empowerment in Bangladesh”. Her expertise is in economic data analysis, both cross-section and time series and panel data, using STATA and EViews. She authored many research articles and book reviews across highly indexed international and national journals. She wrote more than twenty articles, features, and OP-ED for English and Bengali dailies as a columnist and essayist.
